CANCELLATION, RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Returns

You can return products (except for those marked as exceptions) for a full refund if you return the item(s) to us within 7 days of receiving your order. CONDITIONS APPLY - PLEASE SEE BELOW. The shipping charge will not be subject to refund. 

Please note that we do not accept returns if the reason for the return is simply a change of mind or preference. Returns are very expensive for small businesses like ours so we encourage our customers to carefully consider their purchases before completing a transaction. Before returning anything, the customer should contact Selected (via email contact@selectedjewellery.com.au) and quote the invoice number and the reason for the return. Thank you for your understanding.

Returned products MUST be in their original packaging, with instructions, warranty document and all parts included including the original tags on the product, in a fully re-saleable condition without showing any signs of use for any amount of time. The protective coverings on the watch must not be removed. Items must not have been used or assembled or worn in any way. The Selected Jewellery invoice copy must also be included with the return shipment to avoid any delays in processing the refund. Selected Jewellery & Watches co. reserves the right to refuse a refund on any item not deemed to be re-saleable or if any of the above terms have been breached. 

In the case a returned item is not compliant with policy, an email will be sent with the reason why and the stock will be returned back to the original postal address, with no refund. 

Before returning anything, the customer should contact Selected (via email contact@selectedjewellery.com.au ) and quote the invoice number and the reason for the return. If approved, Selected will send a return shipping label with instructions and written approval acknowledging the return via e-mail. The printed approval is to be enclosed and sent along with the return. The shipping label instructions will detail how and where to send your package. Any items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Any approved returns without written approval from Selected acknowledging the return or the Selected Jewellery Invoice enclosed will result in a delay in processing your return and refund. 

The parcel and its contents are the customer’s responsibility until they are received at our store. We strongly recommend that customers use a registered postal service and retain proof of postage. Selected Jewellery is not responsible for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit. Please ensure the product is well packaged (as per the original shipment from us) to avoid any damage during transport back to our store so that the product arrives in a re-saleable condition. All returns are at the customer's risk and responsibility. All expenses relating to a return are the customer’s responsibility. In cases where Selected provides a Return shipping label, it is the customer's responsibility to take the parcel to their preferred post office for shipping back.

For accepted returns, a refund will be processed within 5 working days to the original tender type used while paying for the order that is subject to the refund. Selected will inform accounts when their returned products have been accepted.

Periodically, we will feature items that cannot be returned for a refund/exchange, unless faulty. These items will be marked as such in the description. All personalised items and items made to or ordered to measure cannot be returned for a refund/exchange. 

Returns are very expensive for a small business like Selected Jewellery. Transaction charges paid to payment processors of up to 6.5% of the total order value are not refunded back to Selected Jewellery in case of refunds. Selected Jewellery reserves the right to decline and cancel all further orders from customers whose history of returns is deemed to be unfair or excessive.

Cancellations:

You can only cancel an order if the items have not been shipped. In case you wish to cancel an order, simply contact Selected Jewellery customer service at contact@selectedjewellery.com.au. If the items have not been shipped, we will cancel the order and refund the full value with the exception of orders received where the payment is made with PayPal. Charges paid to PayPal will not be refunded as PayPal does not refund those charges back to Selected. The refund will be in the same form as the payment. Any orders that are subject to custom making, any modifications, alterations or have been resized at the customer’s request, cannot be cancelled before shipping or refunded after purchase.

OTHER:

Damages or faulty goods

If the item was faulty or damaged on arrival, please contact contact@selectedjewellery.com.au with images of the damaged/faulty goods within 48 hours of receipt and we will get back to you with the correct course of action. The same applies in case an incorrect item is received. We are unable to replace an incorrectly supplied item until the item has been returned to us from the buyer. For the return of faulty item(s), we will do our best to contact the supplier and order you a replacement. Replacement items can only be provided subject to availability. If this is not possible, we will refund the cost of the purchase including shipping charges. 

European Union 14-day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at contact@selectedjewellery.com.au.
